From publisher blurb:
In its area of space, the interstellar government has found evidence of at least one society that rose and vanished into the mists of history long before humanity established its current reign. These Precursors were highly advanced; one of their projects involved taking raw animal stock and uplifting it to sapience. One of these races, the Sk’uk’uruk, was derived from suid (pigs and boars) stock transplanted from Terra. As with anything else the precursors did, their reasons for doing so remain a mystery.
Sk’uk’uruk are highly individualistic and competitive, wary of strangers (especially offworlders) and conservative with an almost overpowering desire for order. They speak bluntly to the point of rudeness, and are driven to improve themselves. They can also be quite stubborn, harboring a belief that once an action is initiated, it must be seen through to the end. They engage in violence only with good reason, but can be dangerous if that reason is sufficient to provoke them.
Lifeform Reading: Sk’uk’uruk is for 2D6 science fiction games such as Cepheus Engine and The Original Science Fiction Roleplaying Game, although it’s usable with other systems with a little work.
