User Summary
A futuristic violent ice soccer simulation, playable against the computer or another player. Each team has three players selected at the start of the game, each one with different abilities (some are faster, some are stronger, some have better balance). Points are scored by killing opposite team members or pushing the ball in the opponents goal cage. Every five points, a new level is loaded, with more traps and hazards. The game ends when one of the team is wiped out. The game manual says:
"Skate Wars is the sport of the future! It combines the skills of soccer with the thrills of Rollerball, played in a space age ice stadium.
Lead your team to victory through a series of deadly hazards like crevasses, ramps, and jumps, while competing against the ruthless tactics of your opponents. You'll have to play dirty to win. Maim, trip, push, and shove - show no mercy ! Only the brave win... or at least survive,"
