Welcome to another installment of the Dungeon of the Mad Mage Companion. This time we tackle Skullport, an optional and flesh-and-bones area of Undermountain. Unfortunately, it seems that Skullport was an after thought or a mark on a checklist for DotMM because it's downright skeletal. No quests are provided, and its recent desolation seems to be intentional so that less time had to be spent writing its chapter.
This supplement instead fleshes out Skullport, including the addition a major quest: to restore the Thirteen Skulls that once ruled Skullport back to sanity and topple the Xanathar Guild which recently put the Port of Shadows under its thumb. You'll also find:
DM Notes. Quick notes for the DM so as to not flip through the chapter.
Return of the Thirteen. A major quest, mentioned above, to walk back the Thirteen Skulls from the deserts of dementia. It's designed to be completed in one session and sends the adventurers to various locations through Skullport.
The Mad Mage's Visit. Advice on roleplaying Halaster Blackcloak when he visits his dear friend Tasselgryn Velldarn.
Areas of Note. Notes, scenes, and scripts for various areas of the dungeon.
Magic Item Descriptions. Save yourself the time of digging through the Dungeon Master's Guide to determine how the few magic items on this floor work. The appendix also lists the area the item is found.
Monster Stats. Statblocks have been prepared for all the unique NPCs used in Skullport, as well as any added in this supplement.
