Slayer: A New Class for 5e

Game ID: GID0290559
Collection Status
Description

From publisher blurb:

The slayer is an original level 1-20 class for the 5th Edition of the world's oldest roleplaying game that's fast, furious, and, above all else, fierce.

Where a fighter might be considered a highly disciplined individual who spends hours each day practicing and rehearsing for combat, and a barbarian a bestial or savage thug, slayers might best be considered the latter given all of the training and advantages of the former. That said, a slayer's unique abilities and talents set them apart from either. As well as the slayer class itself, this package includes a whopping eight sub-classes for the slayer, called Slayer Styles. Purchase the module to discover the incredible power of the ardent, errant, foehammer, hexblade, hurricane, punisher, scourge, and wraith for yourself.

What's Provided
By purchasing the slayer, you'll receive a PDF copy of the class that you can use digitally or print for referencing at the table. Additionally, you'll receive a premium content module for use on Foundry VTT*. The PDF and module both provide the class itself and a wealth of useful additional materials. Let's take a look at what's included:

The slayer class, a premium level 1-20 class that's completely setting agnostic/neutral, benefits from several years' playtesting, and has been downloaded more than a thousand times and used in countless games.
Eight sub-classes for the slayer, called Slayer Styles—the ardent, errant, foehammer, hexblade, hurricane, punisher, scourge, and wraith.
Exquisitely detailed background and lore information about the class, including lavish vignettes depicting archetypal slayers.
Tons of helpful advice for players and GMs that cover topics like; roleplaying suggestions, balancing advice, and guidance on how to navigate the module and use its many resources—all of which are conveniently placed within optional expandable elements so that they don't get in your way if you don't need them.
A step-by-step levelling guide for the class that covers all twenty levels of play.
Three tables of suggestions specific to creating slayers and defining their origins (Traumatic Events, First Bloodbaths, and Higher Callings).
Four tables of slayer-specific characteristics (Personality Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws) that can be taken in place or addition to those provided by a character's background, along with a slayer-specific feature (Stone Cold Killer) to optionally replace a background feature.
A class-specific trinket chart containing slayer trinkets.
A slayer class kit, which replaces the equipment and starting wealth provided by both your class and background—without removing fun roleplaying stuff granted by either.
Three charts on killing tools (Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing), which are a fun and thematic optional addition for slayers.
Two new backgrounds (Weaponsmith and Sole Survivor).
A pre-generated slayer character that runs from level 1-5 and includes three sub-class options (Foundry VTT module only).
