Slayer: Roleplaying in the World of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was provided in two formats--an HTML format that was unusual in presenting numerous full-page graphics with embedded text, or in an eFAX format that required the user to download and install a custom executable that would then retrieve completed PDF pages from a (now defunct) server. The game presented extensive photographs that were "taken without permission".

The game is similar to most Buffyverse systems with the exception that is proposes a change in the milieu that allows for multiple (many) slayers to exist simultaneously. This allows every player to create and run a slayer character in the same campaign and even party.
