This version of the scenario has been adapted for play in Perrenland. The villain in this scenario, Malendril, is a spy. He reports directly to a superior named Katenka and works for the Cult of Iuz since that is the only cult in the area who can reliably reach beyond the grave to punish those who offend against it. Malendril has spent several years infiltrating the power structure of the City of Traft in Traft Canton and becoming an important figure there.
