Description

Snow Leopard Shadow is a print-and-play board game for 1 to 8 players. The game is set in the Helan Mountain on the border of Inner Mongolia and Gansu in China, which is the habitat of wild snow leopards. On September 22, 2020, an infrared camera set up by Peking University and the protected area captured the first image of a snow leopard using infrared technology in this region, marking the first such capture in 67 years. This discovery inspired the game's design.
In the game, players take on the roles of wildlife researchers and snow leopards. As a wildlife researcher, you place infrared cameras on the map, avoiding rivers and yellow points. As a snow leopard, you must move through these camera traps. The player who captures the most snow leopard photos wins. You will learn about snow leopards' habits and habitats in the game.

Gameplay:
The game consists of two phases:
First Phase (Camera Placement Phase):

Each player has five opportunities to place cameras, avoiding rivers and yellow points.

Second Phase (Snow Leopard Movement Phase):

Players take turns rolling five dice and choosing two numbers to move the snow leopard.
Other players choose two different numbers from the remaining options.
Each move costs steps, and you have a total of 25 steps. Crossing a camera triggers a photo.

Objective:
The goal is to capture the most snow leopard photos. The player with the most photos at the end wins.
