Wow! It hardly feels like it’s been more than 20 years since I first came up with the idea for So Ya Wanna Be A Rock ’N’ Roll Star! (A Rock ’N’ Role-Playing Game)—and almost 17 since it finally saw print (via a long and winding road, which I’ll get to eventually). But it has been, and though the game has held up well since its 1990 release (winning a Gamers’ Choice Award at Gen Con the following Year, for Best “Other” Role-Playing Game), a lot of rock ’n’ roll has blasted in one ear and out the other over the past two decades. And now, with the PDF version available from Tri-Tac Games, I thought it was time to issue an Update document to the original game (plus errata and an index) to pull it rockin’ and rollin’ from the early ’90s clear into the 21st century.
