Description

Publisher's blurb:

This is a fan-made fantasy adventure module for 5th edition or other d20-based roleplaying system. It contains 7 pre-made characters with unique skills and abilities, 7 custom bad guys with evil beasts of their own, the setting and storyline, plus all of the maps and floor plans of major buildings you will need to carry out all 3 acts of the story. It offers storyline arcs and options in exhaustive detail! It also has additional story ideas and maps if you want to stretch this adventure into a campaign.

The plot is laid out in 3 acts, with a starting point for each character. Events occur to generally push the players together, but this worked great with starting players, giving them a chance to learn their character's specific abilities and work out their motivations.

As characters come together and the story progresses, the book offers DM advice and potential solutions for different likely strategies character groups may attempt. It's a branching plot that will eventually push players toward a final throwdown with the big bad guys of the story.

It's a great dark fantasy adventure for a group of 3-7 players. I like to keep 1 of the characters for myself as an NPC to sort of guide the adventure. Had a great game with novice to experienced players. It can be a marathon session or split over a few nights.

It's important to note that each character is premade with a set of unique powers that don't usually come in any kit or class. They have strong bonuses, but also harsh weaknesses that make them very fun and interesting to play. For example, an archer with amazing called shot and critical shot bonuses, but arthritic hands that quickly become a detriment to fighting drawn out battles. Or, a beefy barbarian shapeshifter that can only shapeshift into cuddly creatures. Try to save the day with that!
