A character trait in fiction is a distinguishing feature, peculiarity, or characteristic of one of the persons in a story or novel that defines the person’s thoughts, feelings, physical nature, and behavior. It is something fairly constant and character-defining that helps the character to be unique.

Example of character traits include strength, dexterity, agility, constitution, stamina, intelligence, wisdom, willpower, charisma, perception, etc.
