What do you hear in a certain temperature terrain that indicates an animal is nearby? This series of tables first looks at animal sounds as a way to organize animal encounter tables by terrain.

We don't always see first the animals that we encounter in nature. Often, we hear something first—in the thick bushes, moving through tall grass, or among dense woodlands.

So, this issue is entirely focused on expanding and transforming portions of the Sound Generator tool into 25 temperature zone and terrain tables illustrated with mostly gray terrain images.
