Space Huk

Game ID: GID0295416
Collection Status
Description

Space Huk is, as it says in the introduction, a "variable-player, limited intelligence, tactical, space wargame." (The 16 listed as the maximum number of players is not a hard limit - the minimum of 3 is correct as one needs 2 players plus a game master.)

The game is played with paper and pencil - players write their moves down and submit them to a game master, who keeps track of the positions and actions of all the ships. Play takes place in 3-dimensional space, and players must first detect opponents with sensors before firing on them. Optional rules provide for realistic movement (the basic rules ignore conservation of momentum), decoys, hyperspace movement, and gravitational wells.

At least two versions of the rules were printed, one in 1973 and one in 1974.
