You are Mission Control in this fast-paced and exciting game of early space exploration. There are 19 different missions to choose from, and you must decide which to try and when in order to stay ahead of your opponenent(s).
But the strategy doesn't end with just exciting space missions. There are satellites, research and investments to consider also. Proper planning here can make the difference.
The game also includes a brief historical synopsis so you can compare your plan with actual U.S. - U.S.S.R. achievements, which makes for an excellent solitaire game.
SPACE RACE is a paper and pencil game of moderate complexity for any number of players. Playing time is approximately two hours. A 10- or 20-sided die is required for play."
The game consists of a 32-page "Micro Game" sized booklet and two player aid charts. Several charts are located in the center of the rules booklet.
