The Empyrean Theurgists of Urathun were once a simple cult devoted to the worship of a celestial system they simply refered to as “the Above”. They were shunned by the earliest Pariuns as they were prone to questioning self-appointed authorities when that which the Empyrean’s worshipped seemed, to themselves at least, so much purer and higher. True Empyreans are now a rarity. The colleges and cults of the Above have all but vanished, with many having practiced their craft in secret. For those who still believe in the old ways, an abundance of power is available to their striving souls.
Empyrean Theurgy, as with all Magic, is not utilised entirely without risk or consequence. Many have rushed to follow the path of the Empyreans without proper consideration for the application of it’s power, and lived to regret the toll which it took upon them.
