Spellbound The New Word Spelling Game is an exciting word spelling game for word game enthusiasts. There are 86 cards in a deck. 5 vowels each, 3 consonants with the exception of Q and X, which are 2 each. Each card has 1-10 points, with no two copies of the same letter having the same points.
The object is to spell words by building a word one letter at a time. The strategy is to see a word before your opponents do. Each player has options to add a letter, replace a letter, or discard and draw, to set up to spell or complete a word for the win. There is an opening bonus round just to put points on the board. This game is actually 30 years from creation to completion and packaging. It started with 2 friends kicking ideas around back in 1992. Then we designed it. One friend printed a prototype. The other friend took the idea and made it a dream come true when the prototype was sent for manufacturing. The game was printed and packaged in 2014 for sale. Since then it’s been marketing and playing the game with many friends.
