The famous Spindlecave River flows for hundreds of miles beneath the mountains, flowing through absolute darkness for most of it's route, but also through various locations and ruins along it's length. One such location is the Crystal Caverns, where huge minerals burst from the rock, growing slowly over millenia. The rarity of the location, and the value of the minerals (both financial and arcane) mean that the caverns have their fair share of visitors.
