Ancient stories tell of a world full technology and Innovation, but also wastefulness, and polution. People eshing rains, however, these were toxic, acidic, and incredibly dangerous for people to go out into. Over time, the waters continued to rise and it became clear that as the streets flooded with no end to rains in sight, that life as the people knew it needed to change.
Faced with a dilemma of what to do and where to go to find refuge and safety, the innovators of the world noticed that those who lived in the very highest buildings, far above the clouds were able to live in clear air, safe above the rainclouds. And, not long after, the first Spiral was created.
Building began quickly with entire cities contributing to a spirals creation to save themselves from the rapidly building floods below. Once a Spiral was complete, the people who have survived thus far flocked into their new refuge, their new home. The doors at the base of the Spiral were closed and sealed, presumably forever, and a new life high above the clouds began.
