The game comes with 48 cards and a set of instructions. The players need six-sided dice and to provide a set of 10 tokens for each player.
Turn Sequence:
1. Discard one cover card
2. Draw one card
3. Perform one action
a. Clean up
b. Attack
c. Draw one card
4. End of Turn
"Clean up": Any number of cards can be discarded to remove 2 "mess points" each.
"Attack": Up to 3 cards can be played for an attack, but no more than 1 "food", 1 "bonus", or 1 "aim" card. The defender may play up to three cards face-down as "cover". If the defender is missed, he or she may make a "smack back attack" which cannot be defended or retaliated against. The game ends when one player accumulates 10 or more "mess points". The game comes with a few very minor alternate rules.
