STALKER is a Finnish science fiction roleplaying game based on the novel of Russian writers Arkadi and Boris Strugatsky. Event called the Visitation, perhaps by alien visitors to Earth, has left behind six locations thrown in to chaos. In these prohibited zones, or simply "Zones", laws of nature have turned against themself and all life has either been destroyed or hideously distorted. Stalkers are adventurers and criminals living outside the society who are looking the remnants and technology of the alien civilization. Everybody needs them, even those who are responsible for guarding the Zones, because stalkers have gone farther in the zones than anyone else.
