STAR MARS is a trick-taking game that was released as part of the publisher ruri ruri games' (るりるりゲームズ) 2020 box of trick-taking games, titled トリテセット vol. 6 (Trick Taking Set vol. 6).
It is lightly themed as a familiar epic space opera, with one suit as the "rebels" and another as the "Mars" army; there are also 4 cards depicting a neutral ship, a Mars Kaiser card, a Princess Liza card, and a card roughly translated as Loose Landrunner.
The score board includes places for both the scores of the individual players, as well as a track for if the rebels or Mars has won more tricks.
Players earn points through "theme cards" that are chosen at the start of a hand. These represent predictions the players are making, as to if Princess Liza will be won by the Mars side, or if the Mars Kaiser will defeat Loose Landrunner.
The first player to 13 points is the winner.
