From the game manual
In the year 2891, explorers discovered an alien artifact of immense value. Hidden within the Star Maze were power jewels, sparkling crystals of pure energy. These precious gems were well guarded by vicious aliens dedicated to the destruction of anyone foolhardy enough to try and retrieve them.
Your mission is to find the 9 power jewels in each level of the Star Maze and return them to your mothership. Do this for all 16 levels of the Star Maze and you become an ace.
