From the introduction:
A cyberpunk adventure for 2 – 5 players as 125pt cyborgs (or other security operatives).
Angel Sierra: pop-culture mega-star, mass-media demi-goddess, teen icon, and PanOptic super-spokes-person. Angel is a top-40’s singer, tv-actress, and hyperpopular personality owned and controlled by the PanOptic mega-corp. She’s world famous, has brandname recognition, and a near-orbital Q-rating.
New York is full of people waiting for their big break. For the guy pouring coffee at your local diner, it’s a part in an off-off-Broadway play. For the girl walking four dogs at once it’s an agent who’ll look at her screenplay. For you it’s a client like PanOptic—a mega corporation that everyone knows and loves. They’re the ones who own all four news streams. They’re the ones who provided round-the-clock coverage of that cool-ass war in Galapagos last year. They’re the ones who do all the big movies, all the big video games, and all the news that’s fun to print!
PanOptic’s got a problem and they think you’ve got a solution. They need someone very valuable to the looked after. Someone you’ve heard of. Someone everyone’s heard of. They need bodyguards for Angel Sierra.
PanOptic needs people who know when to be nice and when not to be. The characters need to be ready and willing to fight with minimum (that means nonlethal) force whenever possible, and just as capable of breaking out the big guns and laying waste when it’s called for.
PanOptic’s a dream client. Angel Sierra’s a goddess. This could be the big break you’ve been waiting for.
