The Counter Attack Die is a participation prize given to players who participated in Month 1, "First Contact," of the Star Trek: Attack Wing Storyline Organized Play Event, The Collective. It is considered a Resource, and costs 5 Squadron Points.
1) The Counter Attack Die is considered a defense die.
2) Once during every Combat Phase, a player may choose to exchange 1 of their defense dice with the Counter Attack Die. Players may not roll this die more than once per round, regardless of how many ships they have in their fleet.
3) The pips on the Counter Attack Die are: [Evade],[Evade],[Evade],[Battle Stations],[Battle Stations],[Hit],[Hit],[Critical Hit]
4) If a [Hit] or a [Critical Hit] result is rolled, the attacking ship suffers damage as normal during the Deal Damage step of the Combat Phase. The attacking ship does not roll defense dice against this damage.
