Starfire is a game of battles of between fleets of space warships. Each player commands a fleet of starships, moves their starships, and fires their weapons.
Originally published in 1984, this is the second edition of the Starfire board game. This edition of Starfire was boxed and included a combination of the original Starfire and Starfire II with rules editing and corrections; several rules changes were made to fighters. As such, 2nd Edition Starfire contains the tactical combat rules for both starship and fighter combat in a single book. Furthermore, it includes 19 scenarios that introduces the first interstellar conflict between the Terran Federation and the Khanate of Orion, and the third interstellar conflict between the Terrans, Khanate, and the Rigelians.
It also had two expansions: Starfire New Empires which added a campaign system (replacing Starfire III, Empires) and Starfire, The Gorm-Khanate War.
