Your class is visiting the Statue of Liberty, and your first stop is the museum in the pedestal. One picture there shows a boatload of immigrants in 1907- and one of the kids in the photo looks exactly like you! Suddenly the floor lurches strangely, and when you catch your breath, you find yourself standing on the deck of a huge ship in the middle of the ocean. It's 1907 and you're a passenger on your way to the United States!
