SteamShadows is a French steampunk RPG.
This limited edition include a premium printing and an extra 32 pages after chapter 6 that provide more background and a scenario.
It is 1889. The British Empire has expanded even more. Sir Stockwell invention, compact steam technology, provides the Empire with supremacy. But the world is different: surnatural things like mediums, ghosts and monster are here too. And Admiral Nelson's ghost is the closest advisor to the Queen Victoria, until Sir Stockwell kills him.
The SteamShadows are a world wide secret society, founded by Sir Stockwell himself while in exile in France. This organisation sole mission is to destroy these horrors that Sir Stockwell predicted will be the demise of humanity.
In SteamShadows, you play member of the organization, hunting down monsters and ghost, or travelling the world in search of lost cities visited by Sir Stockwell.
A simple system with attribute + skill versus a difficulty on a resolution table is the heart of the mechanic that power SteamShadows.
