Steinmannli consists of 4 different game variants
1. Solitaire
One player builds a tower of stones as high as possible.
2. Contest
2 to 4 players receive an equal amount of stones and build one tower by adding one stone after the other on a socle. Stones tumbling down must be collected by the player who caused the tumbling. The first player to get rid of all stones wins the game.
3. Clean up
All stones are placed on a wooden board that is placed on a socle. 2 to 4 players remove the stones one by one until the board tumbles down or the last stone has been collected. The player with tho most stones collected wins the game.
4. Seesaw
A small wooden board is placed on a socle. 2 players receive an equal amount of stones and place them one by one on the small board. The player who makes the board tumble down, loses the game.
