From the game introduction:
All the dads are dead. But your mother wants you to have a father figure, so she's found you a new dad. Only this new stepdad is one of your friends. To complicate things, you're now the stepdad of one of your other friends! How is this ever going to work? To sort it all out, you, you new stepdad, your new stepchild, and your other friends have all gone away on a weekend retreat.
