SPQR is a set of rules developed by Steve Perrin "as a successor and alternate to his popular RuneQuest™ rules." They are distributed in electronic form, purchased directly from Steve Perrin, and are a subscription offering periodic updates. The rules consist of a number of separate chapters (individual electonic word processor files), some blank forms and a number of background documents and maps for a setting, Gaion.
The rules are similar to the original Runequest rules, of which Perrin was a primary designer.
