Stranger Tales 01: Silver Screen Screams

The Carothers Theater in Crestview Hill’s downtown is failing. Its owner, Jason Carothers, has formed a close bond with his only remaining loyal customers, children from the neighborhood that come in and watch cheap matinee movies (i.e. the Kids). Recently, he has concocted a plan to keep his business afloat. He is showing his father and grandfather’s collection of old black-and-white silent films. While this lures young adults who are drawn to the unique and antiquated film style, people are seemingly starting to disappear after coming to the theater. Rumors swirl and the theater is threatened with closure. Maybe the Kids can solve the mystery.
