From publisher blurb:
Your (one or more of the Kids’) parent(s) brought home something no one else on the block (or maybe even the town) has — a computer! But not just any computer, one that can connect to the Internet! The Super Obviously Powerful Realizer Terminal — or S.O.P.R. Terminal — is a computer terminal manufactured by ICM (International Computer Machines) as a piece of bleeding-edge technology. The parent buying the thing has no idea what they bought, how to use it properly, or even what will happen to it and after basically some initial joy at “putting it together” they abandon it to the Kids with a massive manual that explains how to make it work. As a terminal (instead of a personal computer) it requires connecting to another computer (specifically to S.O.P.R.) to “work” — and therein lies the trick. The actual S.O.P.R. is a massive supercomputer based on hacked-together alien technology that seems able to make wishes come true.
