User Summary

Street Hoop is a basketball game developed by Data East originally as an arcade title. The game features 10 teams representing different countries (or US cities in the North American versions), and allows players to compete in head-to-head matches of 3-on-3 basketball.

Each team was ranked in four characteristics: Dunks, 3pts, Speed, and Defense. Every team had 18 stat points spread over the four categories. During gameplay in the arcade version, if the player lost the first half of the game they would need to use a continue to play the second half.

Street Hoop set itself apart from other basketball games by its unique “Super Dunk” meter. When the meter was filled, players would be able to jump 30 feet into the air and dunk the ball. In addition, every shot made with a full meter would go in.
