As the corporations consumed the government and lorded over this burned out husk of a world, some few communities kept hope alive, defying this brave new world to band together in order to survive. The leaders of these ragtag communities had one goal - band together enough people with the skills and will to care for the rest, and take whatever they could in order to survive. In a rigged system, they play by their own rules. Some say this makes them criminals, but those that depend on them call them … Takers.
