Does anyone really care about the history of Diesel City? Famous for the three M's - Motorcars, Music and Murder. After the collapse of the US motorcar industry that was the heat of Diesel City, people and capital left the city center for suburban communities, and the city's social and economic infrastructure buckled, leaving the community fractured and impoverished. The murder rate soared to the highest in the United States, as the city became increasingly viewed as dangerous and in perpetual decline, gangs began to seize territories.
