Abraham Lincoln is enjoying a night out at the theater, but dark intentions have sights on him. John Wilkes Booth makes his way to the President’s private booth. It isn’t guarded. He sneaks behind Lincoln, aims his pistol, and fires.

The bullet does not exit the chamber.

The gunshot is heard throughout the theater, but Lincoln is unscathed. Booth tries to jump from the balcony onto the stage, but he is stopped in the middle of the air by some mysterious force. In the crowd, a man stands among the people. Wand in hand, he is levitating Booth in the air. The President is safe, but the secret of Magic has been revealed to the world.

Tales of the Magical West is a fast-paced, explosive alternative history RPG system exploring what happens when a secretive magical world is released into the lawless land of the Wild West.
