Description

From publisher blurb:

Being a teenager carries with it many difficult challenges. School work. Awkward socialization. Peer pressure. A body in a constant state of change. The equation becomes exponentially more difficult when you throw superpowers into the mix, especially if those powers are dangerous or destructive. You don’t have to worry just about your friends, parents, and teachers—one wrong move could put you in prison for life or kill someone.

Unsurprisingly, many teenagers with special powers feel crushed by the burden of responsibility and expectation. However, Enrique “Henry” Cruz, AKA Tango, somehow defies that trend. He understands and appreciates the severe nature of his powers and yet manages to keep his sense of humor, his fun-loving nature, and his ability to be the life of the party. He maintains this balance without appearing as an arrogant jerk or a class clown. His teammates don’t always appreciate his wisecracks, but they appreciate or understand his ability to always see the humor in things.

We know beyond a doubt that superpowers exist. Telepaths exist, as do many other forms of psychic abilities, not to mention inexplicable paranormal phenomena. What we still cannot answer, however, is whether ghosts or other such haunts exist. Do the spirits of the departed remain in this world? If you were to ask Nessa Ivanovski, AKA Zulu, this question, she would stare at you for several long, unblinking moments. She might mutter something to herself or engage in a brief argument with herself before answering. Her response would be heartfelt and pained. “Such a foolish question. Just look into my eyes for your answer.”
