Tetris Effect: Connected is a 2021 puzzle game developed by Monstars Inc. and Resonair and published by Enhance Inc. for Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, PS VR and PS VR2, and the Xbox family of consoles. The games is an upgraded version of the single-player-only Tetris Effect from 2018. This new edition adds a robust multiplayer expansion to the huge variety of addictive and innovative single-player modes that the base game is known for, with all-new co-op and competitive online and local multiplayer modes.
The first version was released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Windows 10 on November 10th 2020 and was also made available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at launch. It was then released on Steam on August 18th 2021, and was made available as the free multiplayer expansion for existing owners of Tetris Effect on PlayStation 4 at the same time. The Nintendo Switch port was released on October 8th 2021, with the PlayStation 5 version of the game finally seeing release on February 22nd 2023. This version was upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 to take advantage of the PlayStation VR2.
