Thanatos was a scrolling "burn 'em up" game released for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC by Durell in 1986. It was programmed by Mike Richardson.
In the game, the player takes on the role of Thanatos The Destroyer... a huge green dragon from the underworld who must rescue Eros, and help her to locate the Book of Spells and finally a cauldron for her to use.
