Upon the winds, whispers doth carry of a dark and treacherous band, hailing themselves as the Claw. Venturing into the depths of the Underdark, these opportunists are said to reap the spoils of the mighty behir. The fearsome beast, with hide as strong as steel, horns that glisten like diamonds, and talons sharp as the finest blades, holds great value. The beast's parts can be fashioned into powerful magical artifacts, and sold for great profit.
If these whispers hold true, the exploitation of such a creature would be a heinous affront to the natural order and must be halted.
Yet, the Claw are not easily found, known to be a cunning group of adventurers with skills beyond the norm. Only the bravest and most skilled of warriors would dare embark on a perilous quest to put an end to their wicked schemes.
This adventure is for heroes of 7th-8th level and includes a number of detailed wilderness encounters as well as the final dungeon delve.
