Description

Seldom seen but often felt, whether it be the caress of ethereal fingers or the raising of gooseflesh on one's arms, many believe that the Faeries, often called the Fey or the Good Folk, are simplisic in nature and harmless. There are thoughts that they are gossamer-winged and flighty, taking delight in the laughter of babies and the songs of a passing minstrel.

While all may be true, they are merely a facet of what these creatures truly are.

Faerie folk, like mortal beings, have a wide array of their colors which they decide to don for onlookers. Though many are frilly, fickle things, there are a greater number of them which are darker in hue and akin to the shadows which dwell in every being's hearts. Tricksters who delight in leading those astray; blood-drinkers who are oft mistaken for vampires. These are only a small description of the faeries of the realms, both near and far.

'The Big Book of Fey' is over fifteen pages of new fey-themed content for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Created by Faith D'Ambrosio, author of the Pitfalls and Pixies WordPress blog, this packet of new supplimentary creations will surely let players fear the darker side of the Faerie realm and allow Dungeon Masters the change to explore their weird sense of beauty and terror.

Included in this PDF includes new races and sub-races, including Naiads, Aerial and bloodthirsty Redcaps as well as Faerie Dragonborn and Night Hag-blooded Tieflings. There are creatures ranging from vampiric Glaistig, lycanthropic Blinkwolves and even two stat blocks for twin Archfey brothers. The last segment is a bevy of magical items, including powerful masks of the faerie courts and mystifying spellbooks.

Content which relates to the Big Book of Fey includes 'The Night Market' and Summoner classes created also by Faith D'Ambrosio.
