Five teens from different high school social groups - a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal - have to serve detention together on a Saturday at school. Their principal, Richard Vernon, isn't happy with having to give up his day off to babysit these hooligans, and as their punishment, orders each of them to write a 1000-word essay on who do they think they are.
