Prisoners have been sent to the Burning Gash for centuries. The population grows, yet the food allocation has not changed since the founding. Food has to come from somewhere, and nothing grows on the scorching black glass.
Thankfully, the kitchens are near the fighting pit. Nobody is happy about that.
Imprisoned for a crime you most certainly committed, you need to escape. However, in your first hours in the Gash, you meet someone and need to either take them with you or take them out.
