The Case Of The Neat MacGuffin is a solo RPG played with a deck of cards, a tumbling block tower, paper and a pen.
But then, one night there was a knock at your door.
She was beautiful; a drop dead gorgeous blonde with legs that reached all the way down to the floor. She entered the room with style, sliding gracefully into a chair with an uncomfortable squeak that reminded you it was probably about time to replace it with a new one.
There was no small talk. No, it was all big. She desperately needed a detective and you were the first name in the phonebook.
The Neat MacGuffin was missing and the lady suspected foul play. She needed it found and she needed it found fast. There wasn’t much to go by - a couple of names, a vague description, but it was enough to start an investigation.
“So,” she asked. “Will you take the case or not?”
You pause, just long enough to unnecessarily increase the suspense, then nod.
