The Clan

from The Introduction:
The investigators travel to the small village of Ythancaestir in Essex, 1) in pursuit of the kidnapped Brother Paulinus, and 2) to seek out the suspect family of Brother Jens of Ythancaestir (who changed into a Deep One and whose father uses the pen name “priest”). They find an old Christian church threatened by a Deep One clan and their allies. The Deep Ones have been charged by the serpent man with placing an altar stone at the head of the World Serpent ley line.
