From publisher blurb:
One thing I hear asked a lot in OSR circles is how to do spellcasters who use freeform magic, in the vein of Ars Magica or Mage: the Awakening.
Well, here's my response to that, the Conjuror. It's pretty simple. Rather than spell slots and levels, the conjuror gets to combine Aspects and Processes to create effects on the fly. Simply combine 'create' and 'fire' to make a fireball, or similar.
It's pretty simple. I made some guidelines for how these effects might work in play. Broad and simple where you need numbers, and open to GM interpretation.
This is a class about improvisation, both for the GM and the player. The player is constantly finding new ways to use their tools, and the GM needs to come up with rulings on the fly for how that will work. If you like that style of play, you'll like this.
