The party of adventurers finds themselves drawn together by a shared encounter. Each of them has experienced strange visions and unsettling dreams, haunting them with glimpses of a world consumed by darkness. They have sought respite at the Raven's Rest, a cozy inn nestled a midst a sprawling forest, as they attempt to make sense of their haunting experiences.

The Raven's Rest Inn stands as a bastion of warmth and comfort in the midst of the untamed wilderness. Its wooden exterior exudes a rustic charm, while a cozy hearth crackles with inviting warmth within the common room. Soft, dimly lit lanterns hang from the ceiling, casting a gentle glow that dances upon the oak furnishings and ancient tapestries that adorn the walls.

Within the inn, a diverse cast of characters finds solace from their own journeys. The jovial innkeeper, Elden, possesses a bushy white beard and a hearty laugh that fills the room. He regales guests with tales of his travels in his younger days, though he now finds contentment in tending to the needs of weary adventurers.
