A starter adventure/quest that will help players from level 1-3 advance in the game, without the boring style ordinary entry level quests!
Story: The story begins with Lord Cedric sending the players on a mission to retrieve the Darrow Sword. However, they soon discover that a spirit in the crypts also wants the sword to remain there. Meanwhile, a rival noblewoman sends goblins to steal the sword for her own purposes. The players must navigate these conflicting interests and decide the fate of the sword.
Theme: The theme of this adventure is the balance between honoring tradition and embracing progress. The spirit in the crypts represents tradition and the noblewoman who wants to steal the sword represents progress. The players must decide which side to align with and how to handle the conflict.
Tone: The tone of this adventure is suspenseful and action-packed. The players are constantly under threat from goblins and other enemies who want to steal the sword. Additionally, the mystery surrounding the spirit in the crypts creates a sense of tension and unease.
Gain: The gain of the story is twofold: first, the players gain the satisfaction of completing a challenging mission and determining the fate of the sword. Second, they may also gain knowledge and insight into the importance of tradition and progress in their own lives and in their society.
Combat vs. Roleplay: This adventure is moderately combat-heavy, as the players must fight goblins and potentially other enemies in order to protect the sword. However, there is also room for roleplay and decision-making as they navigate the conflicts between the different factions.
Political vs. Freeform: This adventure is moderately political, as the players must navigate the conflicting interests of Lord Cedric, the spirit in the crypts, and the rival noblewoman. However, there is also room for freeform exploration and decision-making as the players explore the mansion and the crypts.
