Publisher's blurb:
About 5 million years ago on the lush planet Dano a small green, one eyed lizard discovered that it was easier to catch low flying insects if it ran upright. This innovation allowed a pitiful, bottom of the gene pool reptile to slowly evolve into the most advanced dominant life form on the planet.
The cyclopean Danyla are the end result of that little freakish lizard's evolution. These scaly humanoids are prolific, egg laying breeders that are known to be agile, energetic, and a bit mischievous in nature. They are often considered to be fun loving risk takers and usually the first to take initiative in any situation that they feel they can handle. Their "do it and see what happens" mindset puts the average Danyla at a disadvantage when it comes to making wise decisions. Despite their penchant for getting their selves into trouble the Danyla are generally likeable as a whole, especially amongst space travelers that want to have a good time and not have to deal with uptight people.
When the race's home planet of Dano was first discovered the Danyla were early in their own space race era. They had not quite yet made it out of their solar system and their risk taking behaviors were both a blessing and a curse on their space exploration progress. The Danyla were quick to pick up on the new technologies made available to them by the first groups of visitors exploring their star system. From there the Dano natives quickly spread out in great numbers throughout their corner of the galaxy, causing some folks to curse the day that the Danyla were initially discovered.
