For thousands of years there has been The City. It has protected your people, it has provided warmth when all around is arctic ice, comfort, food and a place for your people to survive. But now The City is showing signs of failing. For six thousand years the turbines have hummed with life-giving regularity beneath the City Dome, like a giant heartbeat heard from the womb. Except now... the noise is not comforting.

Something needs to be done, and you have been talking about it for some time. Opinion has been divided on whether things have got better outside with a small, insignificant number of citizens who believe it to be so. Most of the citizens have resorted to reading through the manuals and the texts to see if replacement parts could be made by the city itself. A compromise has been negotiated. A scout party of those citizens who are pledged to the supporting factions have been selected for a trip outside to see if the things the city needs can be found.

Will the expedition be successful? Is there hope to be had for the City of Blacklore? Only time will tell. One thing is certain, the Players will be squaring up to the most exciting thing that has happened since... well, since forever.

The Module is set for 5 Blacklore Elf PC's of a TPL of 15 set in a D20 Mystara environment. The Module is heavily biased towards Role-Playing and problem solving rather than combat. This Module is the first in a 2 part series concluding with 'The Dawning Light'.
