Description

The time has come. Apocalypse. Everything will be decided now, at this place in time. The horror. The silence. The pain. The darkness. The death. And everything After. It’s all coming back one final time. The world’s very principles – Time, Space, light, sound, life, death, and many more – will disappear soon. Can anyone stop it? Who knows? But they certainly can try...

It all started in a small town called Orden, with a disease, and a prophecy. There are two sides to this story, one of destruction and one of protection. Choose your allies wisely, for there is no way out. You cannot leave... until you finish your task.

This adventure takes place in your average town. A town in the middle of nowhere, where the townsfolk hate anyone who isn’t them and just want to be alone. The kind of town where the sky is gray and the trees are dead all year round. The kind of town where everyone’s sick but no one’s dying. The kind of town where the world might end.

In this adventure, the players must find the source of a mysterious disease, linked to a prophecy that foretells the coming of a mysterious entity called "the Deep One". They will learn of terrible secrets, fight horrible foes, and perhaps deal with the most terrible being they've ever known.

So find the secrets of this place. Uncover the evil. And take care of the white hand on your shoulder. It loves you.

This dark adventure is designed for 3-6 8th level characters and at least 8 hours of play. Take your players to this small town that can be inserted into any campaign easily, and have them face a perplexing situation that requires good investigation and some surprisingly tough encounters. Includes monsters from the Monster Manual, original monsters, and new NPCs! This adventure was created as our project for the 2019 summer RPG Writer Workshop. Thanks to Ashley Warren and all the instructors!
